Carola Seibold

Head of Medical Affairs, CEU, Germany

How would you describe your role and responsibility?

My role at Medical Affairs is very varied. It is both focused on externally assisting healthcare professionals, as well as internal support with pertinent medical knowledge. Besides medical education and information, supporting the gathering and publication of real-world data/real world evidence is also a very exciting part of my job.

Why did you decide to join Camurus?

I wanted to work within a smaller company, as the scope of each position often tend to cover a larger area compared to working within larger companies where people are often specialized on certain aspects within a department. Also, the strong scientific focus and Camurus’ interesting products and R&D pipeline appealed to me as well.

What is your favorite part about working at Camurus?

Everyone working for Camurus is very friendly and dedicated, and the Medical Affairs team is the nicest, most helpful and open team I have worked with up to date. Since starting here, I have not been bored for a single day!

What motivates you in your everyday work?

What motivates me the most is the thought that the work we do here every day can help to improve the lives of patients suffering from chronic diseases and, in some cases, also from considerable stigmatization.

What does our value passion mean to you?

To me, passion means to persevere in the face of challenges and to keep the goal of improving quality of care, top of mind.

How would you describe working at Camurus for future colleagues?

Camurus offers the opportunity to work in closely-knit cross-functional teams and to gain insights into many different functions. Within the medical team, everyone is supported to grow and develop at their individual pace.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

To relax I enjoy spending time in nature gardening, walking, or riding. The rest of the time you will most likely find me with a good book or having a good meal with friends or family.
