Jane Buus Laursen

Chief Corporate Development Officer

Jane Buus Laursen (born 1975) was appointed in 2026 and is responsible for driving and overseeing Camurus’ mid- and long-term growth strategy, focusing on corporate development, strategic initiatives, and operational excellence.

She brings more than 20 years of experience from senior roles at Novo Nordisk and AstraZeneca within business and corporate development. She has a strong track record in strategic deal making from licensing to M&A, as well as post-deal value creation through integration and alliance management. Most recently, she served as Corporate Vice President in Global Business Development at Novo Nordisk. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles in business and corporate development at AstraZeneca, and has a background as a senior scientist.

Jane holds a PhD in Organic & Medicinal Chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark with part of her doctoral research carried out at the University of Kansas.
